To get to Hydra Island Greece you need to make your way by bus or taxi from Athens International Airport to the main port of Piraeus, Athens. There you will connect with www.dolphins.gr for a hydrofoil (cat or dolphin), or a more spacious catamaran (it will get you 1.5 hours to reach Hydra ) When you arrive on Hydra, you can carry your luggage yourself because it's very close to the harbor (70 m). From the disembarkation area, turn right. Follow the lane in the corner, down the side of the Alpha bank. At the Amalour bar take the right fork and the Amaryllis is on the next corner. Hydra is a cosmopolitan island with lots of small, pebble beaches, a huge selection of tavernas to choose from, interesting shop and art galleries and plenty to see and do. For more information of a general nature about Hydra, please visit www.hydra.com.gr/ www.ydra.gov.gr where you'll find details of what's going on and more detailed travel tips.
